...does its owner make a sound?' Why is it that every time I install a Windows update, my laptop crashes after I reboot, even if the only thing I've done to it is enter my password? And I do mean every time, like clockwork. *sighs* I'll try to get a picture up sometime during the weekend; it's been a while now.

Well, finally! :P It's snowing, and has been since last night, and now there's about 10 cm (4 in) of it outside. And if the weather reports are accurate, it'll stay for *at least* a week, and after that I'll be going north for the Christmas holidays, where, hopefully, the odds of snow remaining are even greater. I couldn't be happier. :D Well, that's all. :P :D \ //_

...that I should very much like to live in a tower. Not any particular tower, and not a particularly tall one, but it would be neat. I passed a university building on my way home today, which has a tower at one corner which has one floor more than the building it's attached to. And it struck me that I'd quite like to live in one. Not any existing tower, nor an especially tall one, just one that is tall enough. It'd stand somewhere so that I from the upper floors would be able to see quite far over fir-clad hills and valleys, and as far from anywhere as logistically feasible - though since I'm just imagining, that could be quite a ways away.
